River Sharks Affiliate with Almaguin Spartans

The Elmira River Sharks are proud to announce our affiliation with the Almaguin Spartans of the Greater Metro Hockey League. The Spartans compete in the North Division of the GMHL which houses some of the league's top programs. In 2018 the Almaguin Spartans were crowned as the regular season and playoff Champions of the GMHL. We are excited to begin our relationship with the Spartans and their player development process.  This affiliation creates a pipeline for Junior A players in Almaguin to be called up to the Single-A Minor Professional level in Elmira. The Elmira River Sharks is a Singe-A Minor Professional hockey team based in Elmira, New York and a part of the Federal Prospect Hockey League (FPHL) which is entering its 14th season.
