Jensen Returns to Elmira

Elmira N.Y.- The Elmira River Sharks have re-signed defenseman Jim Jensen for the upcoming season. Jensen joined Elmira for the final 17 games of the season. In 17 games Jensen had 1 goal and 2 assists. 


       The physical defenseman brings much experience to First Arena, playing 208 professional games. He won a FHL Championship in 2012 with the New Jersey Outlaws. The 6'0", 190 lbs Minnesota native played college hockey for the University of Minnesota-Duluth (NCAA Div. I) he then transferred to play at the University of Wisconsin River- Falls (NCAA Div. III) 


   With this signing, Elmira adds another gritty defenseman to the River Sharks lineup. The River Sharks will start the season on October 10th in Watertown for an exhibition game against the Wolves. They will return home on Friday for the home opener against the Binghamton Black Bears. Get your tickets at First Arena for the upcoming season.
