Elmira Re-Signs Oganezov
Elmira N.Y.- Another former Mammoth will be back playing at First Arena this season. Defenseman Erik Oganezov has Re-Signed. Oganezov played for 3 teams last season, he started the year in Binghamton, where he played just 5 games. He was then traded to Delaware where he spent the majority of the season. For the Thunder the 5’11” lefty had 1 goal and 9 assists in 31 games. He would then join the Mammoth for the last 7 games of the season, tallying 1 assist. The 23-year-old will be in his 3rd season playing in the FPHL.
Assistant Coach M.J. Maerkl on Erik “I’ve played with Erik and coached Erik, he is a smart, skilled and steady defenseman that will do anything we ask of him, he can kill a penalty, he can quarterback the powerplay. We are excited to have Erik back with us for another season.”
