Elmira N.Y.-  The River Sharks have made a big addition to their lineup, they have signed 6’8” defenseman Bryan Gowin. Gowin last played for the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes, he is a 24 year old righty defenseman hailing from Valencia, California.

Head Coach Tyler Gjurich on the addition of Gowin “Bryan is a big defenseman with massive size and toughness, he has a big frame and will be a tough guy to get around, we are excited to add Bryan to our defensive unit for the upcoming season.”

Another big addition to the defensive side of the puck for the River Sharks as they get set for opening night against the Binghamton Black Bears on Friday on October 13th. They will also play a preseason game on October 10th against the Watertown Wolves, with the season right around the corner the Sharks look to continue to fill out the roster.
